Session 3 – Using CODES 2000 to Link Crash, and Injury Data for Highway Safety Outcome
Location: Pontchartrain G
Moderator - Sandy Johnson, CODES Consultant, NAGHSR, National
Center for Statistics and Analysis, NHTSA
sjohnson@nhtsa.dot.gov
Find
out about the wonders of probabilistic linkage techniques directly from the
CODES states themselves. Two new CODES states – Arizona and Rhode Island –
will describe their experiences using CODES 2000 to link crash and injury
outcome data. Two
old CODES states – Oklahoma and Utah – will describe their experiences
converting from AutoMatch to CODES 2000.
The presentations will include a discussion of the advantages of being
able to set the cut off weights at a specific confidence level and to quantify
the rates of false positives and false negatives.
