Anne McCartt is Senior Associate with Preusser Research Group, Inc. (PRG), Trumbull, Connecticut, where she develops and directs research and evaluation projects for NHTSA, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Connecticut Office of Highway Safety, the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, and other sponsors.  Dr. McCartt has authored more than 80 technical reports and papers in such areas as impaired driving, commercial vehicle safety, traffic records, young drivers, occupant restraints, and drowsy driving.  She currently is directing a NHTSA-sponsored project to develop a Model Impaired Driving Records Information System. 

She also is Research Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Public Affairs, University at Albany.  Prior to joining PRG in 1991, she was Deputy Director of the Institute for Traffic Safety Management and Research at the University at Albany.
