John Nepomuceno is a Highway Safety Engineer for State Farm Insurance Companies. Prior to March 2000 when he joined State Farm, John spent 10 years as a partner at G.D. Hamilton Associates Consulting, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where he was a consultant to State Farm, Autoclub of Michigan (AAA), and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). He spent 3 years on secondment to ICBC and helped manage its Road Improvement Program, which received the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Edmund J. Ricker Award for Traffic Safety Organization. He is on the Editorial Board of the FHWA/ITE Task Force on "Engineering Countermeasures to Prevent Red Light Running", and is a Transportation Research Board subcommittee member on the development of the Highway Safety Manual. He is a registered professional engineer in British Columbia and has a Masters degree in Business Administration.
