Mr. Bruff is the Engineering Coordinator of SEMCOG’s, the Southeast Michigan Council of Government, Transportation Program Area. Mr. Bruff oversees the development and implementation of its’ regional management systems (e.g., congestion, safety, bridge, and pavement). SEMCOG has well established its’ niche in the area of integrating safety in the planning process (beginning in the late 1970s) but it required someone to maintain and enhance this strategy. He was hired at SEMCOG in 1997 mostly because of his 10 years of experience as a traffic engineer for the Macomb County Road Commission. Mr. Bruff holds a bachelors of science degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University.
