Barbara Hilger DeLucia is President & CEO of Data Nexus, Inc., a firm based in College Station, Texas that specializes in highway safety consulting and information systems. 

Barbara earned her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and her Masters of Public Administration from Texas A&M University.

She has more than 26 years of experience in analysis and design of automated systems, with over 21 of those years spent in transportation and highway safety.  She is the former head of the Accident Analysis Division of the Texas Transportation Institute and has served as a project manager on numerous studies conducted to improve transportation and highway safety.

Over the years, Barbara has participated in numerous national efforts to improve the quality of transportation data and safety information systems, including the Transportation Research Board's special task force to define comprehensive computerized safety record keeping systems, the National Research Council’s Steering Committee for the Study of State Traffic Records Systems, the National Safety Council's CADRE task force to define essential safety data needs, the NCHRP Panel for Accident Data Quality, and many other efforts.  Barbara currently serves on the TRB Committee for Safety Data, Analysis and Evaluation and on the NCHRP Panel that is planning for future research to make significant improvements in highway safety.
