Strategic Planning Part II – What are the Larger States Doing to Keep Up

Location - Coronado Q
Moderator - Dave Bozak,
Traffic Records Specialist, InfoGroup
Back by popular demand, this is the 2002 update from last year’s session, highlighting the strategic planning efforts in the States of California, Florida and Michigan.  Information technology is changing the way we capture, process, and share safety data for law enforcement, traffic engineering, health/injury control, driver licensing, highway safety planning, transportation research, and others with a focus on the safety and operation of the nation’s transportation system.  As mobile computing and communication technologies become more seamless, and as interoperability among safety professionals becomes more commonplace, past ways of conducting business are being transformed.
